02 POSTPONE - FINAL PRODUCTION WEEK

Dear Backers,
We hope you all have had a great 2020 so far. We are now on the ground in Portugal to oversee the final production of 02 Postpone, and we want to give you guys an update about the expected shipping dates and behind the scenes content.
ÅPNE Orange in the making! Perfected by skilled craftsmen.
We know you have been waiting for a long time, and we are happy to announce the production will complete on Friday, January 17 (this week). On the following Monday, we are shipping the whole batch to our warehouse in Denmark. We are aiming to start to ship out the orders from our warehouse on January 27, if we can ship your orders earlier than that we will, of course, let you know asap.
We want to apologize for the inconvenience caused because of the delays - this was never our intention. At the same time, we do not want to compromise anything when it comes to the quality of our sneakers. Our number one goal is to make the best, long-lasting sneakers you can ever imagine. We are very satisfied with HUK & ÅPNE sneakers and we can't wait to ship them out to you very soon.

PRODUCTION UPDATE AND PROGRESS 👟

Hi all backers
We have good progress these days, and I would like to give you an update.
After the materials and components are delivered at our factory, the manufacturing process begins. This process consists of three parts (see pictures below). Step 1 and 2 are completed. Step 3. was planned for today and tomorrow, before shipping the shoes out at the beginning of January.
Production status
Friday evening the sole manufacturer notified us that they are not able to deliver the soles this Monday morning because the machine that melts down the recycled rubber, virgin rubber, and latex has been broken. For this reason, they have fallen behind with our outsole order. Unfortunately, this means that we will miss our time slot at the assembling line today and tomorrow (step 3.).
This morning I was able to get a new slot for step 3. with a new ETD 20th of January. This means that your shoes will be shipped to you at the end of January. I’m disappointed and sincerely sad about not being able to deliver your shoes at the beginning of January.
We hope you are looking forward to receiving your shoes and also contribute to removing ocean plastic at the beginning of 2020 (equal 200 plastic bottles) for every pair you backed. We will give you updates after the clean-up is completed.

SHIPPING/PRODUCTION - UPDATE 📬

Dear Backers,
Due to delays in the production of our recycled rubber soles, we are four weeks behind schedule. Therefore, the manufacturing of HUK and ÅPNE sneakers will take place between 16-20 December.
We just received the news today from our factory in Portugal, and we wanted to share the updates with all our Kickstarter backers immediately. Because the Christmas holiday season starts around the same time as production will be completed, it will delay the shipping of your orders until the beginning of January 2019.
Initially, we estimated to ship out the sneakers in November. On our Kickstarter campaign, we do state that pre-order delivery dates are just an estimate. Still, we understand that when delays happen, it can be very frustrating - please accept our apologies for this.
We never compromise on quality and use only premium materials to make the best, long-lasting, and comfortable sneakers you can ever imagine.
We promise to keep you updated throughout the manufacturing in December with exciting behind the scenes content so you all can take part in the journey of New Movements production.
