What is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a crowdfunding web where entrepreneurs publish their business projects to get money to be able to carry them out. Thanks to the contributions of friends, family, and followers they are able to start their project. People who financially contribute to the project are known as “sponsors” or “backers”.
In exchange for their contribution, the bakers receive rewards from the company that publishes the project. Normally those “rewards” are the product they have created with a large discount on their future retail price. That way, the bakers get the product much cheaper and before it is launched to the market. In our case, you will get the shoes with a discount up to 60% and they will be yours before they are available on the market.

Why should I reserve on Kickstarter and not wait for the online or retail store?

When our shoes are launched to the market they will be priced at €220, but during the Kickstarter campaign, you can get them from €89.
In case you want to purchase more than one model we have prepared several packs so you can get even more discount.
If you order your New Movements shoes during the Kickstarter campaign, you will get a jump on them before they hit the market. After the fundraising campaign, we will launch them to selected retailers and at our online store.

For our Kickstarter backers we have designed an exclusive gift that only Kickstarter supporters will obtain. For each order you make we will give you a lace-kit with three pairs of laces made from recycled plastic bottles aligned with our “Take A Stand” values.

When should I expect to receive the sneakers?
We estimate to ship the sneakers at the beginning of January. Initially, we expected to ship out the sneakers at the end of November.
We just received the news from our production team that unfortunately the production of Model HUK and ÅPNE have been delayed. Manufacturing our sneakers made with recycled materials is a complex process, and we have such a high demand for each pair, so when something goes wrong at the factory, it can cause an extensive back-up.
On our Kickstarter campaign, we do state that pre-order delivery dates are just an estimate. Still, we understand that when delays happen it can be very frustrating - please accept our apologies for this.
We promise to keep all Kickstarter backers informed throughout the manufacturing process and Team New Movements will be available to answer your questions.

I am ordering my New Movements sneakers through Kickstarter but I can not chose either the size nor color?
Do not worry, right after the campaign ends on Kickstarter we will contact you via email so you can tell us what model and size you want. Same if you have ordered multiple pairs and would like multiple sizes/colors.

What colors and models do you have?
For the 02 Postpone collection launched at Kickstarter, we have two models. The Huk models in black, white and grey. The Åpne models in white/orange and white/black both with light brown suede on the tip of the toe.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
